Messepark – The Talking Tree
The talking tree at Messepark Dornbirn is a childhood memory for many people in Dornbirn. For years it was missing, lonely in storage, until it was found again and put back in place. But time had left its mark – the tree had grown too old to move and speak as it once did. So we brought it back as a 3D model in augmented reality.
Now it moves again, smiles, tells its old stories and brings a piece of shared memory back into everyday life. For children, all the old stories are also available in the audio guide, supplemented by a quiz that invites you to listen, think along and discover.

Explore the City Centre
At 11 locations, you get compact, easily accessible insights into the city, its history and its character – ideal for a first walking tour, for tourists, or for anyone who wants to get to know i.appear. The tour leads you to Dornbirn’s hotspots and combines digital exploration with the real city experience.
At the same time, it’s linked with four other tours and invites you to branch off in some places and dig deeper into individual stories. You switch playfully between app and street, between listening and looking, between exploring, sipping coffee and strolling.

Discover Oberdorf
With the “Discover Oberdorf” tour, you get to know a different, quieter side of Dornbirn. Similar to “Explore the City Centre”, the tour leads you through the district – this time through Oberdorf, a neighbourhood full of villas, stories and small secrets.
You walk past a long-forgotten defensive tower that you can experience in augmented reality in all its old splendour. You stop at the oldest house in Dornbirn, where wine is being grown again in the garden today, just as it was hundreds of years ago. A connection to another tour invites you straight on to the Zanzenberg — the best vantage point in Dornbirn, with views all the way to Lake Constance.
